About the Designer
Jonelle Maira has been designing and selling one of a kind jewelry since 2003 and finally decided to
branch out and create a namesake brand of jewelry where the pieces are created in collections by season
and while limited to a couple hundred of each design, not one of a kind. She wanted to create pieces
that could be offered to boutiques around the world. Pieces that while coveted for their limited
quantities and unique style, will still be accessible to more than just one customer.
Jonelle Maira's eponymous jewelry line is eco-friendly. Each piece is made from a combination of vintage
and re-purposed chains and materials and then combined with natural elements such as bone, wood, leather,
cotton, semi-precious stones and minerals. Jonelle's jewelry has always been influenced by geometry and
the repetition of patterns paired with Native American imagery and tribal silhouettes. She then applies
a paired down modern, minimalist approach for jewelry that is eye-catching yet still somewhat delicate.
Each piece is made from carefully selected vintage and reclaimed materials. All of Jonelle Maira's jewelry
is made by hand, one at a time, with love and care in her home studio in Rochester, New York.
